So, the John Deere Massacre of 1963 *wasn't* an odd bit of product placement. I honestly thought they approved it! BTW, the warning label is brilliant and I'm seriously thinking about printing a few of them on some sticker sheets and putting them on our lawn mower.

Hi everyone - I got hooked on Mad Men during season 1 - I can't quite remember if I started watching from the beginning or if I got hooked during a Marathon, but once I got started, I couldn't stop. I loved Elizabeth Moss from as the president's daughter in The West Wing. I was 10 yrs old in 1963, so Mad Men is like re-capturing a piece of my childhood. My parents had a set of frosted glassware with gold and silver leaves that look just like the ones that the Drapers use to have highballs. It's freaky.
I do sometimes get a little lost in the flashback episodes - where I'm not quite sure what's going on. But between this thread and the facebook MadMen thread, I get set straight.
I love the show - comparing where women were in the workplace then to today - how much has and hasn't changed. Some is amusing, some disturbing. Amazing to see all the smoking and drinking during work hours.
I'm sad season three is coming to a rapid close. There seems to be so little on TV to watch anymore... Mad Men is has so many complex and interesting characters - there's never enough of any of them.. Haven't seen enough of Jane or Peggy recently and even that stinker Pete.
