show:
NewsRadio
style:
Woody men's club
key quirk:
Staff incompetence

NewsRadio’s Midtown Manhattan offices envelop the strangest collection of radio oddballs since WKRP. The set itself abides by traditional sitcom-newsroom format, only in this case Lou Grant proxy Dave Nelson sits stage left. The wood trim and blinds lend an old-school vibe, while the 14th-floor setting furnishes city views. Just don’t ask staff handyman Joe Garrelli to fix anything.
