THE BEST (AND WORST) WORKPLACES IN TV HISTORY

THE DHARMA INITIATIVE

Scientific Research · "The Island" in the South Pacific

LostDharma Initiative

Dharma Initiative
show:
Lost
style:
Rough-hewn 1970s laboratory
key quirks:
Octagonal logo, crazy magnetic fields

While most of the action plays out amid a spectacular island setting, Lost is not without manmade workplaces. The mysterious Dharma Initiative installed several research stations on the island, each with a different area of concentration. The work spaces are functional, comfortable, and well-supplied (if technologically outdated), but the work itself is mind-numbing, paranoiac, and not likely to bolster your mental health. And exactly who’s researching whom remains to be discovered.
