The show opens with Grandpa Gene getting in the car with the kids. We see the car is moving, but Gene’s in the passenger seat, so was Don or Betty already in the car? Nope, Sally is driving, with Grandpa coaching her. She’s absolutely delighted with the thrill and her skill.

So, a lot of things going on here. Peggy finally cut the apron strings, poor Grandpa died and no one consoled little Sally, PLUS Kitty's light bulb finally went off when Sal started jumping around like Robin Williams in The Birdcage. D'oh! I feel sorry for both of them. :(
